Irshad Nur is the Founder and Co-Editor of Horn Report, providing strategic direction and shaping the platform’s analytical vision. He specialises in security, governance, and geopolitics in the Horn of Africa, and is committed to cultivating a new generation of regional analysts and researchers.

Irshad holds an MSc in Defence and Security from Cranfield University, in partnership with the UK Defence Academy, and an MA in International Political Economy from King’s College London. He also brings a decade of experience working in the defence and security sector across the Gulf region, focusing on training, development, and capacity-building with major defence organisations.
